FAQ

The Questions Sacramento Buyers Actually Ask

These hot tub FAQs come from eight years of conversations across our four Northern California showrooms, and they are answered the way we would answer them standing next to you — including the parts that are inconvenient for us.

Showroom Visits

Visiting a Showroom

Do I need an appointment to visit?

No. All four showrooms are open Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM, and walk-ins are welcome. Booking ahead only guarantees a tub is heated and a person is free the moment you arrive.

Ownership

Water Care & Running Costs

How much does it cost to run a hot tub in Sacramento?

Less than most buyers expect. Our mild winters and dry summers let a well-insulated spa hold temperature efficiently most of the year. Full-foam insulation, a tight hardcover and a cover lifter you will actually use matter more than any other factor.

Hot Tubs

Hot Tub Questions

What size hot tub do I need?

Count the people who will be in the water on a normal Tuesday, not on the Fourth of July. Most Sacramento families overbuy. A 5- or 6-seat Clarity heats faster and costs less to run than a 7-adult Twilight that is usually half empty.

Swim Spas

Swim Spa Questions

Can you really swim in a swim spa?

Yes. The current is adjustable and strong enough for genuine swim training, and you swim in place against it rather than turning at a wall. Competitive swimmers train in them, which is how the Michael Phelps Signature line came about.

Saunas

Sauna Questions

Indoor or outdoor sauna — which should I choose?

Outdoor saunas suit backyards with space and pair naturally with a cold plunge for contrast therapy. Indoor units suit converted bathrooms, basements and garages, and avoid weather exposure entirely. Both need a dedicated circuit.

Cold Plunge

Cold Plunge Questions

What temperature should a cold plunge run at?

Most owners settle between the high 30s and low 50s Fahrenheit. Start warmer and work down — the benefit comes from consistent use, and a temperature you will actually get into beats a colder one you avoid.
